Run the season, not the spreadsheets.

Schedules, scoresheets and standings live in one place, and every team in the league sees the same thing at the same time. When a game goes final, the standings move, the box score posts and the league leaders update. The league’s Sunday-night spreadsheet goes away.

Players register and sign the waiver on their phone before they land on a roster, and your schedule and standings can sit on your own website, updating themselves.

Bifrost Tower03

Scoring that knows the rulebook.

Tower is our own scoring app for whoever keeps the sheet. Tap for a goal, then pick the scorer and up to two assists. Enter a penalty and Tower times it, and ends a minor early when the other team scores on the power play.

Power-play, shorthanded and empty-net goals mark themselves from the penalties and the goalie, and the game-winner resolves on its own. Scores save on the device and sync when you’re back online.

The group chat that actually has the goalie in it.

The roster is the source of truth. When a player joins the team, they’re in the chat. When they leave, they’re out. Nobody spends October messaging a guy who moved to Phoenix.

RSVPs sit in the thread and roll into the lineup, so the head count happens before warmups. Short a goalie at 4 PM? Search your league’s sub pool for free agents and EBUGs (emergency backup goalies) who are open that night, and ask them in a tap. Team fees are collected in the app too.

The teammate who never opens the app still gets counted.

Each RSVP request also goes out by email with I’m In and Can’t Make It buttons, and a team fee links to a pay page that works in any browser once they sign in. Players only need a Bifrost account, not the download.

What GMs ask us.

What does it cost?

Nothing, for players and teams. Following, stats, standings, Game Center, team chat, the schedule, RSVPs, the sub pool and collecting team fees are all free, and they stay free. Leagues and rinks in the beta don’t pay either. If your team collects dues through Bifrost, a small processing fee is added to each payment, so the team keeps every dollar it’s owed.

Does everyone on the team need the app?

Everyone needs a free Bifrost account, but not the app. Each RSVP request also goes out by email with I’m In and Can’t Make It buttons, and a team fee opens a pay page in any browser after signing in. Parents, partners and the guy in the stands can open a team’s public page or subscribe to its schedule in Apple or Google Calendar without signing up at all.

Can we put our schedule and standings on our own website?

Yes. Five widgets drop into any site with one short copy-and-paste snippet: standings, schedule, league leaders, a live score ticker and a team page. Each stays current, comes in a light or dark theme, and resizes itself to fit your page. Tell us which season and which widgets, and we’ll send you the code to paste in. It works on Wix, Squarespace, WordPress or a hand-built site.

We already have a season going. How do we move over?

Bring your schedule as a CSV (paste it or upload it) and your rosters, and we’ll set up the season with you. Past games can come in from photos of the paper scoresheets: Bifrost reads the goals, penalties and saves, and someone on your side checks them before they count.

Who can join the beta, and is there Android?

Adult rec leagues and teams in the US, by invite, with accounts for players 18 and up. The app runs on iPhone, iPad and Mac today. Android is on the roadmap, and until then Android teammates RSVP by email and pay fees in a browser.

What happens to our players’ data?

We don’t sell it or share it for targeted advertising. The details are in our privacy policy, in plain language.

Who’s behind this?

Bifrost was founded by Justis Gyori, CEO, and Ben Friedrich, CTO, and the two of them build the app together. Justis is also a GM and a goalie. He runs an adult rec team, so RSVPs, subs and team fees land on him every week, and he’s the goalie for a championship-winning semi-pro team. Most of what’s on this page started as a problem one of us hit at the rink, and when you send a note, one of us answers it.

Are you affiliated with USA Hockey or the NHL?

No. Tower follows the USA Hockey, NHL, PWHL and NCAA rulebooks so your scoresheet matches the game you play, but Bifrost isn’t affiliated with any league or governing body.
